Our technical programs are under the direction of a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Thomas O. Murray, MS, CIH, and President of Applied Environmental Health & Safety. Tom is certified (certificate #3460) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), an organization highly regarded by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency. Tom has over thirty (30) years experience in Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, EH&S Program Management, and Occupational Safety and Health Training.
AEH&S is listed on the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Consultants listing as a company qualified to conduct various environmental and industrial hygiene air and bulk testing. When conducting air and bulk sampling AEH&S follows Occupational Safety & Health (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), and American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienist (ACGIH) protocols.
AEH&S is able to conduct mold and bacteria building inspections, develop mold and bacteria remediation guidelines, oversee mold and bacteria abatement management projects, mold and bacteria clearance testing. AEH&S is able to respond to mold and bacteria consultation for commercial, residential, and industrial facilities.
Since 1990, AEH&S has been providing Health and Safety Training & Consulting in order to help industry, hospitals, small business, cities, counties, school boards, and many other organizations comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and State Safety and Health requirements. AEH&S has been a USEPA external training provider for course 165.5 Hazardous Materials Incident Response Operations and course 165.15 Emergency Response To Hazardous Materials Incidents since 1993.
AEH&S is an EH&S training provider for a wide variety of OSHA and EPA training courses required for employees and management. AEH&S conducts the forty (40) hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) class, the twenty four (24) hour HAZWOPER class, the eight-hour (8) Refresher HAZWOPER class and many other training courses.
As a State of Florida Licensed Asbestos Consultant (license # I0000040) AEH&S is capable of conducting asbestos building inspections, developing asbestos operation and management plans, and overseeing asbestos abatement management projects.
